What's the # for an anxiety assassin again? 🤺🤪😬 Now I'm no professional but I feel it should be made aware anxiety exists in multiple different forms & experiences, from one to a shit load all at once & oohwee do they make you feel like 💩 ▪︎feeling too afraid or unable to speak up ▪︎shaking when you do ▪︎excessively worrying over word choice - "did I say something wrong?" ▪︎overthinking ▪︎feeling the need to overachieve to be considered intelligent or even just smart ▪︎overly high expectations or wanting to meet other's ▪︎self hate when it's not met ▪︎believing everyone is silently judging you - "do people actually like me or are they pretending?" ▪︎thinking every laugh or whisper is about you - "do I look stupid right now?" ▪︎overly criticizing your own actions - "is something wrong with me?" ▪︎believing you need to be perfect to avoid judgement ▪︎muscle tension -- shoulders raised, jaw clenched, tongue pressed to mouth's roof ▪︎procrastinating being social, social events or giving excuses ▪︎obsessive behavior ▪︎controlling Remember anxiety isn't just "being worried", there's so much more to it & so many different faces. Personally, I've had run-ins with every single one of these & still do to this very day. . “At what point did you start to love running?” _ There haven’t been many mornings where I’ve woken up thinking “I can’t wait to run!” I don’t enjoy waking up early to run. I don’t enjoy running in extreme cold or heat. _ What I do love is the space my mind creates for peace and quiet. I love the escape from my everyday life. The escape from my to-do lists and my self doubt. I love the accomplishment of moving further or faster and being able to finish and think “I just did THAT.” _ So maybe I never really learned to love the act of running. Dreaming of this gorgeous sunset on the beach right now star✨ When I say this week has not gone “according to plan” that is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I have off this week from work and planned to spend my week down in Florida 🌴 I made it down there for 36 hours before getting a scary phone call from the BF. Our little pup, Molly, had a seizure. They weren’t sure what was going on and being far away was the worst feeling. I decided I had to come home and be with my little family. After being home for a couple of hours I could tell the BF was tired and not well. I wasn’t home for 12 hours before he had a full blown fever. I have been keeping an extra close eye on the little 🐶 and trying to nurse the other one back to health. Feels like nothing is going our way, but I just keep taking deep breaths and remembering that this too shall pass! 🙏🏼 for a speedy recovery for all 👦 🐶

Performance and injury prevention are both tied into the quality of your warm up. If you are static stretching before your training, for the love of god please stop. We need to make the shift to dynamic warmups, where we actively work through range of motion while turning on the appropriate muscle groups. Warm up with the same intention and intensity as you train.

Here is why sleep is so important: • Lack of sleep can drive insulin resistance, disrupt your appetite hormones, and reduce your physical and mental performance. • poor sleep is one of the strongest individual risk factors for weight gain and obesity. • One study linked insufficient sleep to an 89% and 55% increased risk of obesity in children and adults, respectively. Kört med kost- och träningsschema i 6,5 vecka nu och det rullar på bra. Ökat i styrka i de flesta övningar och tappat ca 4 kg. Viktnedgången i sig känns inte viktig men jag börjar närma mig en form som jag verkligen gillar när jag tittar mig i spegeln och utifrån hur kläderna sitter och hur jag känner mig. Då har jag ändå valt att äta något utöver schemat 1-2 måltider i veckan, men ändå fått bra resultat. Det behöver inte vara så krångligt. Does weighing yourself make or break your day? If so, keep reading to learn better ways to measure PROGRESS 💪🏼 I used to weigh myself every day and it seriously messed with my mind. I was always chasing under 120 (which is roughly 20 lbs lighter than my average weight. ) My “why” for working out was so off at the time. I wanted to be under 120 because I saw girls on Instagram posting their weights. I was constantly comparing myself to others. if I wasn’t consistently losing weight, I would punish myself with negative self talk and more cardio. If I lost more weight than expected, than I would binge the rest of the day. I was in a constant battle with myself and it wasn’t healthy! I now haven’t weighed myself in over a year. I don’t care about the number on the scale because it’s always fluctuating because of stress levels, hydration, sleep, hormones, digestion, etc. Instead, here are other ways to measure progress: ⚡️look at the way you’re talking to yourself. Are your thoughts generally positive or negative? ⚡️Look at your relationship with food - are you constantly restricting or binging? Are you listening to your hunger cues? ⚡️Look at visual changes in the mirror ⚡️take photos! Front/back/side ⚡️Reflect on your confidence and self love (I journal a lot so this is a great way to measure progress ) ⚡️Look at your consistency with healthy habits - write them down! ⚡️Look at your improved strength in the gym (no program hopping, stay consistent and increase weights weekly ) Lastly, appreciate the progress that you HAVE made! Keep going and don’t get discouraged by the irrelevant number on the scale.
Wanted to share something I’ve been thinking a lot about recently...I was talking to a client who mentioned that they feel as though they always qualify their statement when asking for something they need or want. After the conversation, I really began thinking about this because I do the exact same thing. . I think I’m a pretty easy going person and therefore, I don’t ever want to inconvenience people & go with the flow per se. However, it’s my goal over the next few weeks to become more intentional and mindful about how I ask for things I need and want. . Now just to clarify, I’m not talking about asking permission because you’re all grown humans who should never, ever have to ask permission to do anything. But when it comes to your health & well-being, it’s okay to ask for assistance or simply ask for something when you want it or better yet, saying no to things you don’t want to do! . If you find you do this too, I challenge you like me, to get comfortable with the uncomfortable. To ask for what you need & want, unapologetically. It really is a form of self-care and self- love to be able to do just that. And remember, self-care is not and never will be selfish!! . SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCER// The last time three words to describe an income producing activity had so many misconceptions and negative vibes was the words Multi Level Marketing. I guess I like the challenge of having to defend myself, ha ha! After almost 9 years on the ‘gram (if you do the math - that’s only 1000 followers a year, so you KNOW I’m a 100% organically and ethically sourced influencer, ha ha ) As in any career, there’s the good, the bad and the ugly. There’s definitely people out there making a bad name for this particular job title, by not fulfilling contracts, taking advantage, and using every post to sell to you. In my Social Media 101 workshop I spend a bit of time covering how to both with with influencers and as an influencer. The last little while a few of my favourite people in this industry have felt frustrated. Creating content and then getting no engagement. Then the comparison demons come out and you see others putting out content that took five minutes and not five hours to create get a bazillion comments. Excerpt from Social Media 101: Love them or not, influencers can be a very powerful marketing tool. Whether you want to BE one, or know how to work with them, I have some advice for you! To have influence is to inspire others to buy, behave or feel a certain way. You do NOT need a particular number of followers for this. I found myself clumped into this category about a year ago and I did not intend for this whatsoever. I have always loved sharing my opinion on things, especially products and services and usually just the good experiences. I guess some companies saw this and assumed that I was partnered with companies but that wasn’t the case! I started receiving fun packages and experiences and decided I wanted to explore that path of employment. For me, success in this space is working with companies that align with my values. The company needs to provide for me whether financially or emotionally. If a campaign feels like it will pour into my family, even if it’s unpaid – I take it, as often social media takes away from family time, this is a way of paying my family back for that time.
